Así mismo

Así mismo is an additive and affirmative adverbial phrase made up of the modal adverb "así" and the adjective of identity "mismo". It is used as an equivalent for "de este modo/manera" (this way, the same way) and also as an equivalent for "también" (also, either) or "además" (moreover).

El profesor hizo el ejercicio usando una calculadora, así que lo haremos así mismo.
The professor did the exercise using a calculator, so we'll do it the same way.

Quédate así mismo para que pueda retratarte bien.
Stay this way so I can paint a good portrait of you.

Asimismo

Asimismo is an adverb and it is used as a synonim of "así mismo". Both adverbial phrases are interchangeable, although the RAE (the organism that regulates the Spanish language) prefers the "así mismo" form to be used in the written language.

El presidente dio una conferencia para hablar de los cambios en la política de contratación de la empresa. Asimismo, habló de otros temas como los resultados financieros y los futuros proyectos de la compañía.
The president gave a conference to discuss the changes in the company's recruitment policy. He also discussed other issues such as the financial results and the future prospects of the company.

- ¡No quiero que nadie me moleste hoy!
- Yo espero asimismo que nadie nos moleste.
- I don't want to be disturbed by anybody today!
- I hope that nobody bothers us either.


A sí mismo

A sí mismo is a sequence of three words, the preposition "a", the reflexive "sí", and the adjective of identity "mismo". It is used to describe a situation in which one is doing an action that affects oneself. The adjective of identity can take masculine, femenine, singular and plural forms "mismo, misma, mismos, mismas".

Juan se afeita a sí mismo.
Juan is shaving himself.

Lucía y Carmen se gustan a sí mismas con esos vestidos nuevos que se han comprado.
Lucía and Carmen like themselves in those new dresses they just bought.
