La expresión de esta semana "en un santiamén" es una expresión popular que se utiliza para describir una situación que tarda poco tiempo en ser realizada o para indicar que algo tiene una rápida concreción o que se tarda poco tiempo en hacer una cierta tarea.
El origen de esta expresión se debe a las misas religiosas cristianas. En la antigüedad, las misas eran ofrecidas en latín. Cuando el padre terminaba sus oraciones, se persignaba diciendo “In nomine Patris et Filii, et Spiritus Sancti. Amen” lo cual significa “En el nombre del Padre, del Hijo y del Espíritu Santo. Amén.”. Al ser una frase muy larga, los pecadores la decían rápido y la acortaban al final diciendo “sanctiamen”, juntando la palabra sancti y la palabra amen al decirlas tan rápidamente.
Una expresión equivalente en inglés sería "in a jiffy/flash/heartbeat" o "in the blink of an eye".
- Ay pero qué aburrimiento. ¡Con tanta ropa como tú tienes!
- Venga mujer, ¡si va a ser un santiamén!
